Biscuits for Business: Royal Albert's #100YearsofTea campaign - Biscuiteers

Fish and chips, rhubarb and custard, strawberries and cream...Britain has a history of excellent foodie pairings. None however, can beat the classic English tea and biscuits...

In 2006, quintessentially British fine bone china brand Royal Albert celebrated 100 years of history with the release of their One Hundred Years of Royal Albert collection. Covering over a century of design, each tea set took inspiration from a different decade and featured ten of the brand's best loved patterns. Fast forward to 2016, and the team at Royal Albert wanted to relaunch the collection with an innovative (and tasty) campaign: #100YearsofTea. Biscuiteers bespoke biscuits were the perfect choice for incorporating both taste and design to create something special to celebrate the occasion.

Once the biscuits were completed, Royal Albert used them to promote their #100YearsofTea campaign on social media. They hosted a competition across their Facebook and Instagram platforms to win a bespoke tin of intricate teacup biscuits alongside their 100 Years collection. The competition received a total of over 1,200 entries and reached 28,000 social media users in total - a great success!

Once the teacup designs had been sent over, our production team got to work creating samples for Royal Albert to approve. The team were absolutely delighted with the biscuits and our gorgeous Tea for Two tin design fitted perfectly with the project's pastel colour theme. An all-round sweet treat!

The beautiful bespoke biscuits and 100 Years collection were also sent to a shortlist of 10 bloggers including Coco's Tea Party, Poppy Loves and The Elgin Avenue. Here are some of our favourite snaps from the bloggers, don't they look like mini works of art?
