Biscuit HQ: Behind the scenes with our E-commerce Assistant

Meet Sinead, our lovely E-Commerce Assistant. She gives us a behind the scenes insight into her role as E-commerce assistant at Biscuit HQ: providing excellent customer service, answering biscuit questions on Live Chat, and divulging her most memorable customer services experiences!
1. How long have you been a Biscuiteer, and what is your role?
I have been a Biscuiteer since October 2016. My role was a temporary position to cover the busy Christmas period, but I enjoyed it so much I was made a permanent Biscuiteer in January 2017. My role is mainly customer service and making sure we fulfil our 100% biscuit happiness mission, but I also assist the corporate and marketing teams on side projects.
2. What does a normal day at Biscuiteers HQ look like for you?
Lorem ipsum dolorBusy, busy, busy! My role is quite varied and there is never a dull day at Biscuiteers. My first job each morning is to check our customer service email to make any changes customers have requested to their orders before they are sent to our kitchen. I also organise the postal slips and gift messages before they're handed over to our packing team who prepare each order for dispatch. In between these times I take incoming calls, respond to emails, chat with customers on Live Chat and generally spread biscuit happiness.

3. What’s your favourite part of the job?
I enjoy being on Live Chat, the instant messenger service on our website. I love making suggestions to customers for their various gifting occasions and answering any biscuit questions they may have.
4. What has been your favourite message from a Biscuiteers customer?
We receive a lot of biscuit love here at Biscuiteers, but my favourite has to be this one because is epitomises exactly what we set out to do: “Such a pleasure to give these beautiful treats! Reliably perfect every time and a lovely experience for the recipient; gorgeous wrapping, delicious and exquisitely executed. I love to give these biscuits, I'm even excited for the person who is getting them!!

5. Have you ever received any particularly memorable requests?
One that stands out for me is when a customer asked if we could make a biscuit specifically for their poorly horse, disguising their medicine within our biscuit dough. We are creative but this was a request we definitely could not do!
6. In three words, what is it like to be a Biscuiteer at HQ?
Inspiring, engaging and buzzing!
7. What do you think are three essential qualities for any budding Biscuiteers?
Our vision is to make the world a more thoughtful place through gifting, so you must be passionate and have a real ‘can do’ attitude. A Biscuiteers role can be quite varied so you must be an excellent team player and be able to easily adapt your skills and knowledge to other areas of Biscuiteers life. A love for biscuits, chocolates and cakes is always a big bonus too!
8. And lastly, if you were one of our jolly gingers, which one would you be?
It would have to be our Champagne Charlie Jolly Ginger, I do enjoy a glass of fizz (and my friends would probably agree). Any excuse to pop a bottle open and I’m there!
