Back in the autumn of 2015, the National Portrait Gallery approached us with a very exciting project. To mark the 100th year of Vogue Magazine, they would be launching Vogue: A Century Of Style, an exhibition showcasing the photography that had been commissioned by British Vogue since it was founded in 1916, with over 280 prints from the Condé Nast archive and international collections being shown together for the very first time.
National Portrait Gallery asked us to collaborate with them on an exclusive collection that would go on sale in the gallery gift shop. They had already developed a fantastic range of Vogue 100 products, from colouring books to Lulu Guinness bags so we jumped at the chance to create something really special.
In collaboration with the gallery, we studied some of Vogue’s most iconic covers and discussed which would work best in biscuit form. We were also inspired by timeless pieces of British fashion made famous by Vogue, including the classic trench and the statement red lip.

To launch the collection, the National Portrait Gallery invited press and bloggers to preview the Vogue 100 shop range. We set up a live icing station at the event and personalised Vogue biscuits with the attendee’s names which went down a storm.

The exhibition opened on 11th February to much acclaim. We were lucky enough to take a peek inside before the public and were bowled over. It was magical to see the Vogue covers we recreated in biscuit in real life including originals from 1916.
Our Vogue 100 collection is on sale exclusively at the National Portrait Gallery until May when the exhibition closes.
