Our 13 best moments (so far...)

It's our 13th birthday this year, and what an amazing year it's been! To mark the occasion, we wanted to share some of our 13 best moments (so far...!).

1. Our Covent Garden big build
   In 2019, we re-created Covent Garden Market in biscuit form. The grand design was decorated entirely by hand by our icers Lorena and Serena, and took 100 hours to construct using 5kg of icing and weighing in at over 10kg.

2. The launch of our two books
We've always loved sharing all our best baking tips and tricks. In 2010, we very excitingly launched our first ever book - Biscuiteers Book of Iced Biscuits. This was followed by our second book, in 2018, Biscuiteers Book of Iced Gifts.

3. Our shops
In 2012, our first icing cafe opened in Notting Hill, followed by our Northcote Road cafe in 2014. We run an exciting range of events and experiences in our cafe including icing lessons and afternoon tea - find out more here.

4. Our on-going partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital
We're so incredibly proud of our on-going partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital. Over the years from our GOSH charity collection and our GOSH fundraising days, our customers have helped us raise an amazing total of £80,000.

5. Moving to the Ministry of Biscuits
In the summer of 2019 we moved into the Ministry of Biscuits, a purpose-built space bringing our many teams together under one new roof in Colliers Wood, London. From the Department of Dough to the Grand Icing Hall, here is where the biscuit magic happens.

6. Our 10th birthday party
If there's anything we like to do well, it's putting on a big birthday bash! In 2017 we celebrated in style with a big 10th birthday in the Serpentine Gallery and built biscuit structures to showcase some of our favourite partnerships.
7. When a biscuit became a book cover
We love moments of biscuit magic, and nothing was quite like seeing a biscuit we'd iced turned into a book cover! We iced these bespoke book biscuits for the launch of Vicky Zimmerman's book The Woman Who Wanted More, and she loved them so much that she decided to use it for the actual book cover!

8. Inside the factory Christmas special
In 2018 we welcomed some extra special guests to Biscuiteers HQ - a film crew from BBC 2's Inside The Factory. They featured us in their Christmas special, taking a closer look at how we get ready for the festive season.

9. Our Bake Off Biscuits
In 2019, we worked on one of our most exciting commissions - creating biscuits for channel 4. They wanted biscuits they could use to let people know that The Great British Bake Off was coming back to their screens. The biscuits even featured on a full cover spread of Metro!

10. Our Waddesdon Manor grand design
When it comes to biscuits - the sky really is the limit! In 2016 we worked on one of our most ambitious projects, re-creating Waddesdon Manor in gingerbread. The grand design took 500 hours to make, using more than 30kg of butter and sugar, 240 eggs and 216kg of icing. Watch our video here to see the whole process from start to finish.

11. Our Vogue 100 biscuits
Back in the Autumn of 2015, The National Portrait Gallery approached us with a very exciting project. They asked us to collaborate with them on an exclusive biscuit collection that would go on sale in their gift shop, featuring Vogue covers from their Vogue: A Century of Style exhibition.

12. Saint Laurent biscuits
In 2019 we created five bespoke tins for Saint Laurent. They wanted the biscuit tins to fit the mood and style of their Saint Laurent Rive Droite concept store in Paris, and to be sold alongside hand-picked collectibles. To add the finishing touch a bespoke Saint Laurent x Biscuiteers sticker was designed by Charles Anastase for the tins.

13. Our Licensed collections
Over the years we've collaborated with a lot of exciting brands, bringing their characters to life in biscuit form - from Scooby Doo to Superheroes! Our current collections are Paddington, Mr Men, Beatrix Potter and at Christmas, our The Snowman collection.
