The Great British Bake Off is finally here!! The first week eases the competitors in with cakes. Now, not that we want to upstage our fresh faced bakers, but we've also made a few of our own showstopper and personalised cakes. If you don't believe us then we'll let you be the judge...
Yes, our Wednesday nights for the next 10 weeks will now be a constant temptation-fest where we question for a whole hour, 'to snack or not to snack'? Our advice - get your workouts for the week over on Monday and Tuesday then celebrate hump day in true bake off style - with a slice of chocolate fudge cake!
Pssst, we promise you won't find any soggy bottoms here!
Our showstopper cakes
- Our Under the Sea Pirate Ship Cake was made for a very special Birthday party
2. We wouldn't invite these little critters along to a party, but they're just about acceptable on fondant topped cupcakes
3. We loved adding all the details onto this cake, no driving test is required to take this motor for a spin!
4. Our lighthouse cake was tall and elegant. If you look closely, you can see bricks, the shiny windows and even the rope at the lookout tower.
5. The whole theme of this cake was burlesque dancing, cue the feather boas and fish net stockings!
6. The theme of this cake was rainbow - we think we got it pretty spot on!
