When Dad can't go to the pub, why not bring the pub to him?
For this year's Father's Day luxe tin, we thought where better to look for inspiration than our team of talented icers and artists? Our favourite concept was dreamt up by our Icer Rachel, who came up with the design idea of bringing all the best bits from the pub into biscuit form. And so the Biscuiteers Arms Luxe Tin was born!
We chatted to our Head Icer Lucy, who shared with us all the details of how this special collection came to life...
"Going to the pub is a very social activity, so I was keen to get this idea into the tin by including the kind of games and entertainment that you would take part in while at the pub. So pool and darts were the obvious choice! Also things like playing cards and quizzes are also very common activities, so it felt important to capture those too. And who doesn’t love a classic pub snack!? They are a fun addition as they add a bit of humour to the tin. Obviously there are lots of other activities that pubs now provide, but by sticking to more ‘classic’ themes, it helps to give the tin a wider appeal. The great thing about this tin is the pub environment is so universal. A young Dad in his 30s would enjoy going to the pub as much as a Grandad would!"
This year we have also partnered with our neighbours, The Wimbledon Brewery. Just next door to the Ministry of Biscuits, Wimbledon Brewery specialise in using English brewing traditions and ingredients in all of their beers. You'll find their beer across all of our Father's day collection, and you can add a bottle to your pressie to make Dad's day that little bit extra special. We even have a gift box with our Biscuiteers Arms luxe tin and Wimbledon Brewery beer combined - so you really can bring the pub home to Dad!
To celebrate our Biscuiteers Arms collection, we've put together a biscuit pub quiz round you can do with family and friends that we hope you'll enjoy! Click here to download the printable biscuit quiz round and answer sheets.
