It’s less than two weeks to go until Christmas day and in true Biscuiteers spirit we’re thinking about all of the ways we can make the big day a little bit more special. We’ve already shown you how to style your Christmas table, and today we’re making beautiful Biscuiteers Christmas crackers that you can enjoy with all of your friends and family! ![]()
What you’ll need to make your own Christmas crackers... 1. 1 kitchen roll or toilet roll to form the centre of each Christmas cracker.
2. Cracker snaps, to make your crackers go pop! We bought ours from Amazon.
3. A little gift to hide inside. We chose biscuits from our Iced Christmas biscuit tin, but we're sure any of the biscuits from our Nutcracker collection, Nativity collection and Christmas decorations collection would go down a treat! Just make sure your biscuits fit inside the kitchen or toilet roll.
4. Biscuiteers gift wrap to decorate the outside of your crackers. You will find this in both of our lovely icing cafés in Notting Hill and Northcote Road.
5. Ribbon to add a little flourish.
6. A pen or pencil, glue stick and scissors. ![]()
How to make your Christmas crackers… 1. Divide your Biscuiteers Christmas gift wrap into three sections, using a pen or pencil to lightly mark the different segments. ![]()
2. Position your kitchen roll or toilet roll into the middle section, and then glue your snap in place. ![]()
3. Rolling it away from yourself, roll your Biscuiteers gift wrap around the cardboard and then glue the seam of the cracker. You should now have something which almost resembles a Christmas cracker... ![]()
4. Pop your biscuits into the middle. You can also add festive party hats or even a joke or two if you fancy! ![]()
5. Pinch and twist the Biscuiteers gift wrap to seal off your central section. This also adds a lovely shape to the crackers and gives them that homemade look which we love. ![]()
6. Using your best ribbon tying skills, add a bow to each end as the final festive flourish! Now all that’s left to do is to pull your crackers and see who wins the biscuits… ![]()

Top tip!
Measure the length of your crackers by using the cracker snap. Make sure the snap crosses both of your dotted lines, and that it doesn’t poke out of the ends.
Top tip!
Make sure you only glue the ends of your snap, or your Christmas crackers won’t pop.
Top tip!
If you scroll back up to number 2, you'll see that we left a gap at either end of our toilet roll. This makes it easier to pinch and twist the wrapping paper.
